Key responsibilities include leading and collaborating with the operational management team, addressing issues raised in meetings, and overseeing day-to-day practice operations. This includes managing clinical session structures, optimizing rota efficiency, and ensuring accessible rooms. The role also involves coordinating annual leave, handling staff queries, and implementing benchmarking and KPIs for appointment availability, patient and staff satisfaction.
In a fast-paced environment, the position requires effective prioritization, delegation, and meeting deadlines. Other duties include organizing meetings, documenting and following up on actions, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, and upholding NHS contractual obligations. The role also involves coordinating policies and procedures, business continuity planning, supervising IT and telephony systems, and ensuring compliance with Information Governance standards and GDPR.
Additionally, responsibilities extend to managing complaints and Significant Events, representing the practice at external meetings like the PCN, and acting as a point of contact for external communications, guidance, and alerts. The position emphasizes the establishment of robust systems for receiving, acting upon, and reviewing alerts.
