The position encompasses a broad array of responsibilities, subject to evolution over time, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role. Direct reporting to the Executive Manager is a key aspect, with a commitment to providing regular updates.

Responsibilities include leading and collaborating with the operational management team, relaying information and addressing issues raised in various meetings. Day-to-day operations oversight is a crucial aspect, involving the effective management of clinical session structures, rota efficiency, and room accessibility. Additionally, tasks encompass coordination of annual leave, handling staff queries, and implementing benchmarking and KPIs for appointment availability, patient and staff satisfaction.

In a fast-paced environment, the role involves prioritizing, delegating, and meeting deadlines. It also includes organizing meetings, documenting and following up on actions, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, and maintaining adherence to NHS contractual obligations. Other duties encompass policy and procedure coordination, business continuity planning, supervision of IT and telephony systems, and compliance with Information Governance standards and GDPR.

The position entails managing complaints and Significant Events, representing the practice at external meetings such as the PCN, and serving as a point of contact for external communications, guidance, and alerts. Lastly, a focus on establishing robust systems for receiving, acting upon, and reviewing alerts is essential.
